About Company

A family-owned company called Leo Laine Oy was established in Rauma, Finland, in 1967. The Lokari inside mudguard, which Leo Laine patented in 1963, served as the foundation for the business. The first Lokaris were constructed by hand in the family's garage in the early 1960s by riveting rubber seals to aluminium sheets. The patented idea involved adding a wind scoop to the lower front edge of the Lokari to direct air flow induced by the vehicle's motion into the gap between the vehicle's own mudguard and the Lokari.Beginning in the early 1970s, Lokari gained recognition on a global scale and attracted the interest of auto factories. A plastic variant of the aluminium Lokari was created at the request of the Fiat manufacture.
