Mike and Susanna Lindsay established Lindsay Machine Works, Inc. in 1994, approximately east of Kansas City, Missouri. But the history of our business actually begins in 1980, when Mike left Kansas City and migrated to the United States. After graduating from the Navy's machinist school in San Diego, California, Mike served in the machine shop onboard the destroyer tender USS Prairie. Susanna, meantime, graduated in 1982 with a degree in Business Administration from San Diego's Point Loma College. In 1984, Mike and Susanna moved back to the Kansas City region after being married and finishing their service in the Navy.

Mike and Susanna made the decision to launch Lindsay Machine Works, their own machine business, in 1994. While Mike used to work largely in sales and bookkeeping, Susanna
