When Microtech was founded in 1974, it was primarily to develop electronic products. However, as demand for our manufacturing services grew, we eventually bought our first Phillips SMT machine in 1988.

We moved to the location we are in today in 1989 due to the increase in staff and the need for more space to support the constantly expanding company. A year later, a second SMT machine was bought.

The company kept expanding, and in 2005 Simon Thomson and Graham Mills conducted an MBO (Management Buy Out).

Our business takes great pride in having long-term workers, and in 2010 we hired our first person who had worked there for 30 years.
