Chester graduated from the University of Texas in Austin with a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science with a focus in Electrical Engineering. He wrote test scripts and programs for businesses like NVIDIA, Creative Labs, and Ixia during the first few years following graduating before beginning his nine-year career in the electronics manufacturing industry. Chester was hired by Texas Prototypes as a process engineer and SMT programmer to aid in the development of the company's quick-turn circuit board assembly procedure. Chester became the lead program manager for three years after a few years of building and perfecting an efficient procedure. In this role, he cultivated a dynamic environment and propelled the company to become leaders in the installation of new and sophisticated components. Texas Prototypes passed through several different businesses.
