The Thakral Group of Singapore and the Hungarian electronics company Orion Electronics Ltd., which was founded in 1913 and has decades of experience in electronics manufacturing, are brought together in Hungary as Orion.

Orion developed a wide range of consumer electronics goods, such as radios, televisions, and hi-fi systems. In addition, it designed, produced, installed, and maintained complex microwave telecommunications equipment that was exported to numerous nations in Europe, Asia, Africa, and South America.

Orion was acquired by The Thakral Group in 1997. The Thakral Group was founded in 1905 and has operations in over 30 nations. The Group made a sizable financial, managerial, and technological contribution that assisted Orion in growing into a solid business with a well-diversified portfolio.
