The Plastic Division of Ohio Steel Industries, now OSI PLASTICS, was founded in 1975 in response to the market's strong demand and lack of supply for plastic sewer pipe. We had the chance to expand our manufacturing capabilities and use our managerial and engineering competencies across a more varied and broad base of customers, industries, and markets thanks to our facilities and entrepreneurial spirit. In comparison to a traditional, non-diversified organisation, we have a competitive purchasing advantage thanks to the diversification of our operations, which also helps us absorb some expenses and gives us cyclical and seasonal stability. Since 1975, in response to changes in the plastics business, our knowledge, production facilities, capabilities, and processes have grown and changed.
