Despite having its roots in the original family enterprise RIOPLAST, which was created by Edesio Garca del Ro in March 1964 and relocated to the current buildings in 1974 after an expansion and transfer, PLASPISA was officially founded in 1985. As a result, PLASPISA is one of Spain's oldest family-owned businesses in the plastic transformation industry.

After multiple extensions, PLASPISA now has facilities of 15,000 m2 built integrated into a plot of 45,000 m2, thanks to the three pillars of quality, technology, and service that have always been present in its history and on which it bases its growth and development.

The facilities are situated near Alar del Rey (Palencia), northwest of Castilla y León, close to the Cantabria - Meseta Highway (A-67).
