Hardy Honig commenced business in 1990 as Plastrim (Pty) Ltd. With more than 40 years of combined expertise in the furniture manufacturing and plastic extrusion sectors, Mr. Honig founded Plastrim, a firm wholly dedicated to product innovation, improvement, and usability as well as customer pleasure.

Frederick Honig, Mr. Honig's son, has been in charge of it since 2014 and he continues to uphold the organization's founding principles' objectives.
