ProTronics, Inc. began operations in June 1993, and despite twice expanding, it has stayed in the same location in Knightdale, North Carolina. Ed Valentine and Jan Alford were the company's original founding partners. Prior to ProTronics, Ed and Jan both oversaw a prototype lab and a rework and repair lab at different points in time.

When Jan asked Ed for help on founding a Contract Manufacturing company, ProTronics was born. Ed brought out a ready-to-go business plan for what would soon become ProTronics, indicating that they were clearly already on the same page. Ed retired after many years of partnership, and Jan Alford now owns and runs the business.

ProTronics is glad to state that we have worked to treat our staff like family during the course of our 20-year existence.
