Two of the four people that founded Rochester Rotational Molding in 1988 are still the company's proprietors and operators. A large portion of RRM's custom molding started in the IBC sector. In the early 1990s, IBC goods accounted for 75% of the business, thus it was necessary to start looking into new markets. The plastic fencing industry was one that RRM entered, however they later removed it from their product lineup. Their capacity to become a full-service molder was further enhanced with the development of a mold-making shop. Because RRM can take a concept from design to a final product, this made it possible for serviceability to expand.
