Innovative Manufacturing Source (IMS), a full-service electronic contract manufacturer based in the picturesque Calgary, Alberta, Canada, at the foot of the Rocky Mountains, was established in 2004 by Dave Elhard to provide a different option in the Western Canadian electronic contract manufacturing market.

IMS has expanded in ways that significantly outpace their initial projections in terms of customers, sales, and equipment. In June 2004, IMS had only 5 workers, 4,000 square feet of production space, and a small number of clients. Since then, the company has grown to have over 120 employees, 70,000 square feet of production space, and around 200 clients globally.

IMS's goal in 2004 was to assemble a huge workforce of informed, talented, and committed individuals who could
