Roland Satterlee created South Bay Circuits (SBC) in 1981, and since then it has grown to become the most dynamic and versatile contract manufacturer for PC board assembly and fab services in the electronics industry.

In order to keep up with the constantly changing demands of the electronics industry, SBC expanded significantly throughout the 1980s, acquiring new buildings and cutting-edge process equipment. In 1985 SBC expanded operations adding a 60,000 square foot PC Board Fabrication facility in San Jose California. 1987 brought the addition of 3 additional buildings, continuing the expansion of capacity at SBC.
