John Kozacki and Jerome Kollig established Total Plastics, International in 1978 as a modest plastics factory in Kalamazoo, Michigan.

To serve the expanding clientele for local plastics and the expanding company, the national sales office in Grand Rapids, Michigan, opened its doors in 1984.
