After Pipe Couplings (Australia) Pty Ltd bought the company formerly known as Tuscan Industries, Tuscan Plastics was founded in June 2014.

Peter Gell, who had been operating at the Redfern Site under the name Peter Gell Toolmaking since 1954, formed Tuscan Industries in 1969.

The equipment was moved from Redfern to Smithfield, New South Wales, and integrated into Pipe Couplings Australia, an injection moulding and plastics extrusion company run by the Ricci family since the early 1970s.Over 2000 unique extrusion dies, some owned by the tooling register's owners and some owned by customers, are included. With this wide selection, we can provide extrusions in any shape or material for any manufacturing organisation.
