The first gaskets, as we know them today, were created in 1820. These were made from a mixture of Sulphur powder, pack iron filings, and water and were known as solid iron sulfate seals. Additionally, people at that time frequently created their own gaskets. Unraveling rope and pushing it into seams and crevices with tar or lubricant was one method for accomplishing this. People would also stuff leather into seams to seal water pumps. This wasn't very efficient, though, as the water would gradually degrade the leather.

After the vulcanization method was developed by two distinct inventors, including Charles Goodyear, in 1845, industrial gaskets had the chance to advance dramatically. Once they mastered the process of vulcanization, they could create rubber. Manufacturers gained more knowledge as they

Excalibur produced side steps for the South African car industry when it was first established in 1989. Due to its capacity to provide OEM components of the highest caliber, the business developed into a household name and was chosen by major automakers. Excalibur South Africa won the 1996 Supplier of the Year award and had contracts with Daimler Chrysler, Toyota, Nissan, and General Motors. 

Excalibur South Africa was sold in 2002, and in 2005, it made a comeback in Canada. The business continues to produce automobile accessories and currently provides Grandwest Enterprises, Canada's largest wholesaler.

TSE Industries is a family-run business that fabricates all of its goods in the United States. What began as a modest "mom and pop" plastics dealer in 1962 has developed into a major producer and fabricator of plastics, rubber, and specialised chemicals known as polymers. This is the beginning of our tale.

Family-run and -owned

It was 1959. Walter and Helen Klingel packed up their two young sons and all of their belongings and moved south to St. Petersburg, Florida, despite the fact that the economy was in a crisis and there were no jobs in sight. They only desired warm weather that was far from New Jersey.

Walter initially tried to sell vacuum cleaners and even obtained his real estate licence.

D. Covington Logan established PSC (Packaging Service Corporation) in 1954 in Louisville, Kentucky. Mr. Logan had a strong background in industrial packaging and believed that the firm could provide a valuable service to small businesses that could not afford to hire full-time packaging engineers.
