The Company, Y2K Electronics, Inc. was founded in 2000 originally located in Elk Grove Village. In 2003 the family owned company moved to its current location 2574 United Lane, Elk Grove Village, Illinois 60007. In March of 2015 despite the industry still in recession, Y2K / United Innovative Solutions expanded their manufacturing facility reaching a new level of sophistication and responsiveness to technology and customer requirements. At the same time as it added and refined it capabilities, the Company again addressed the most basic proto customer with faster turn times and integrated online ordering process to all eliminated price as a barrier to proto purchase and caused the industry to take an aggressive stance against increasing offshore competition. The Company also initiated a new focus on contract manufacturers as many OEM’s began turning to turnkey solutions for their board and component requirements. Both initiatives have been very successful and United Innovative Solutions continues to gain market share in not only small quantity PCBs but also Turn Key Production sales volume. In 2016, under new management, the company name changed to United Innovative Solutions to better represent its ability to offer customers multiple contract assemble solutions. United Innovative Solutions is proud of its record of manufacturing and supplying high quality electronic assemblies to the industry and distribution of its services with a commitment to Quality that will not be compromised under any circumstances. The processes and equipment employed by the Company includes screen printing, surface mount component placement, through-hole component placement, SMT oven and wave solder reflow, conformal coat, board H2O washing and comprehensive range of test equipment. An essential requirement of the continuing maintenance and development of the Organization’s objectives is the ongoing improvement of a quality system registered to ISO 9001:2008 status.
