Conturo was started in 2016 as a 1,000 square foot shop in Pittsburgh's Point Breeze neighbourhood. With a fleet of numerous multi-axis CNC mills and lathes, a gantry machine, and an EDM machine, it has quickly expanded to a 25,000 square foot facility. We take great pride in our flexible manufacturing process and top-notch engineering customer service.

Walter Kern, an Austrian who was born in Hall, arrived to the country in 1968 to supervise the installation of post-press equipment for a Swiss manufacturing firm. Due to this installation's success, a second one was added to the Providence Gravure in Rhode Island. 

Walter met his wife Marjorie during the second installation, and soon after, he left his job with the Swiss company to work as a maintenance machinist at Providence Gravure. Walter spent his free time working to obtain his American citizenship in addition to mounting and tuning skis for a nearby ski store.

The Iowa firm Cox Design & Metal Fabrication, Inc. was founded in 1987 and specialises in stainless steel and aluminium. The company's president, Bruce Cox, has been successful in growing it into a range of industries.

Mr Cox began his company by producing aluminium livestock show equipment, and he was able to use his skills to produce blocking chutes, show boxes, clipper caddies, show sticks, fan carts and stall dividers. Over 35 years ago, Jon Leat started his career as an apprentice for the English business Erickson.  He produced machined components for the industrial sector during his apprenticeship.  He moved to Long Beach, California, after being hired by the Duetsch Company in 1985 as a CNC operator.  Jon gained a lot of expertise in the aerospace industry during this time.  As a CNC programmer, Jon relocated to the DFW Metroplex in 1989 and assisted the communications, oil and gas, and industrial sectors.  Jon founded ELEAT Prototypes & Tooling in 2006 with the intention of offering top-notch goods and customer support.
