Get ready for a "out-of-this-world" experience with your next plastic molding or tooling order from OrbitDesign, which reaches new heights in the field of plastic moldmaking and tooling technology, innovations in injection molding, and breakthroughs in quality control. OrbitDesign entered the plastic moldings business when other companies were unable to mold a highly-engineered part for which we had to build the tool. We purchased a computerized plastic injection molding machine, modified it for our needs, and soon started producing the parts. OrbitDesign is redefining the plastic molding industry. By acting as consultants rather than vendors, we put our customers first and cultivate respectful, enduring relationships. Obsessed with quality, we continuously embrace technology in every aspect of our operations.

We got our start in 1949 as Plastic Products Corporation, a little business that produced hearing aid cables.
We changed course in 1987, changed our name to Plastics One Inc., and relocated to the Southwest County of Roanoke, Virginia, where we are now. Tessy Plastics LLC

Henry Beck, the founder of Tessy Plastics, was born in Germany, and at the age of 14, he began an apprenticeship as a toolmaker. He stayed with the same employer after graduating in 1953 for another two years before accepting a job teaching clients how to run tool-making machines in Brazil in 1955. Henry was keen to travel the world and accepted the assignment. After spending two years in Brazil, Henry moved to the United States and began working as a service engineer for the country's largest importer, installing and instructing at businesses for 20 years, including NASA.
Henry founded the Beck Machinery Inc. in 1968 in Skaneateles, New York, and supplied Swiss-made automatic screw machines to renowned business Welch Allyn. Welch Allyn urged Henry to launch an injection molding business based on their mutual confidence and trust.
