Henry Beck, the founder of Tessy Plastics, was born in Germany, and at the age of 14, he began an apprenticeship as a toolmaker. He stayed with the same employer after graduating in 1953 for another two years before accepting a job teaching clients how to run tool-making machines in Brazil in 1955. Henry was keen to travel the world and accepted the assignment. After spending two years in Brazil, Henry moved to the United States and began working as a service engineer for the country's largest importer, installing and instructing at businesses for 20 years, including NASA.

Henry founded the Beck Machinery Inc. in 1968 in Skaneateles, New York, and supplied Swiss-made automatic screw machines to renowned business Welch Allyn. Welch Allyn urged Henry to launch an injection molding business based on their mutual confidence and trust.

Modern Alpha Plastics, Inc. is a custom injection molding company with manufacturing facilities and offices located at 7200 NE Birmingham Road, Kansas City, Missouri 64161.  The current company was established in 1996 by merging two independent companies, Modern Plastics Molding, Inc. from Independence, Missouri (purchased in 1989) and Alpha Plastics, Inc. from Kansas City, Missouri (purchased in 1991).  At the time of their merger, these two independent companies had been in continuous business operation for 31 and 27 years respectively with combined annual sales of approximately $7 million and had been responsible for providing outstanding custom injection molding. Our company continues to provide this level of excellence and is recognized in its markets for high quality standards and its ability to manufacture and assemble the difficult dimensional plastic parts that are required to meet our customer's specifications.

W-L Molding of Michigan, LLC (formerly known as W-L Molding) was founded in 1945, and subsequently purchased by our current ownership in 2013. We are privately held, and nationally certified as a minority supplier by the Michigan Supplier Development Council.
