3P's history started in 1966 in France, with the gradual development of a PTFE-focused activity that gave rise to the famous Gaflon® department, a world reference in the world of PTFE. The Gaflon® department is well-known for, among other things, introducing a well-known product in 1970: thread seal tape (TST), also known as PTFE tape. The fact that they were the first to make TST locally made a significant difference in the market at the time. This improved reactivity and price management.

Actually, the Gaflon® department has accumulated the skills and values that are still present in 3P: demanding applications for complex requirements, know-how development on all industrial processes, and material fine tuning.
