Based in Melbourne, Australia, Ballis Plastics Melbourne is a creative family-run business. founded in July 1950 by Ballis, John Lyle. During World War II, Lyle was Paul & Greg Pty Ltd's manufacturing manager. The factory was located on Spencer Street in North Melbourne, and it supplied the R.A.A.F. in Totenham with moldings and profile windows.
The Australian Defense Canberra Bomber's first canopy windows were made by Paul & Grey. Because of the subpar system utilized to mold these goods, Lyle was able to perfect the Anstro Domes used for navigation on the Lancaster and Lincoln Bombers, which were optically perfect, while the British and U.S.A. moldings were optically deformed. J.L. registered first. After Ballis Plastics & Son in 1965 and Ballis Plastics 1950, Ballis Plastics Australia P/L was established.
