John and Ann Den Hartog established Den Hartog Industries, Inc. on February 9th, 1976 on Highway 60 in Hospers, Iowa. After 40 years, Den Hartog Industries is still a family-run business (it is now run by the second generation) and is still based in Hospers, but it has evolved from a modest metal maker to a market leader in the production of plastics.

Corporate offices, manufacturing, mould fabrication, shipping, warehousing, and fleet maintenance are among the facilities that currently total more than 381,000 square feet.
