History at ROTHE has been formed by both tradition and experience. In 1907, the ROTHE firm was established in Chemnitz. It was moved to Königheim at the end of the war, where it started making thermoplastic foil. The new production processes of injection moulding and extrusion were implemented in 1964 following yet another relocation to Kitzingen.

One of the earliest producers of thermoformed carrier tapes was ROTHE. We are currently one of Europe's top manufacturers of carrier tape.
