The American company Plastics Engineering Company, better known by its trade name "Plenco," has a longstanding reputation as a global pioneer in the research and production of phenolic thermoset resins and molding materials.

In addition to producing resin and compounds, Plastics Engineering Corporation ran a sizable thermoset plastics molding business in the United States for more than 70 years, meeting all the needs of the local industry for thermoset components.

A new thermoset plastic molding factory was opened by Plastics Engineering Corporation in Querétaro, Mexico, in 1999. Plenco de México, a new company, was established in direct response to the needs expressed by material clients operating in Mexico and to the expanding need for thermoset molding of plastics.
