The corporate offices of Praher Plastics Austria GmbH are located in the Mühlviertel's tranquil and reflective village of Schwertberg, which is situated between the Danube River and the region's first rolling hills. As a one-man operation producing technical plastics and plastic injection moulds for the production of the parts, Ludwig Praher started the business here in 1971.

Today, the company manufactures premium valves and fittings for industrial piping systems and the pool industry, as well as fully automated injection moulding equipment that realize specialized functional parts and assemblies. The internal research and development team works closely with academic institutions and research centers. New concepts are initially put into practice in the department that makes molds, which uses three-dimensional printing processes more and more.
