The four-generation family-owned and -operated plastic molding business ACW Plastic Products, Inc. dba Advantage Plastic Products ("APP") specializes in mold design, mold making, polymers, and injection molding.

Great-grandfather of the current Proprietors, Max Krauss, founded the initial company in 1917. The business started as a wholesaler of different military textile items after Max bought a warehouse full of extra military boots at the end of World War I. Max removed the boot laces from them and later sold the laces for a profit.

In order to better serve the expanding domestic apparel sector, the company originally operated out of 374 Broadway in downtown Manhattan. Later, it moved to the garment and textile district of Manhattan.
