In 1986, Don and Jackie Champagne founded North Bay Plastic Moulders in their garage. They helped clients in the construction and mining industries. They had one machine running when they first started their firm. running occasionally around the clock, seven days a week. Don and Jackie used to sleep with a baby monitor next to them so they could keep an eye on the equipment. The machine-listening baby monitor was keeping an eye out for any signals. Despite not being the most sophisticated alerting system, it was successful because of good planning and diligent labour.Customers came to rely on the items that North Bay Plastic Moulders produced over time. This made it possible for Don and Jackie to expand their garage in 1992 and then construct a second expansion in 1994.
