Our strategy combines targeted value stream enhancements with business goals. Our foundation's components—standard work, 5S, value stream mapping, kanban, error proofing, layout, visual management, TPM, and empowerment—come from the "lean toolbox". We make use of the skills of Technical Industries Inc. workers who are selected based on their ability to spot waste, standardize procedures, and respond quickly to client problems.

With numerous machines operating "lights out" around the clock, we have met our cost targets and are able to maintain our competitiveness. We have taken care to avoid adding tasks that are valuable but also resource-intensive.
