Vidon Plastics was established in a small garage with few facilities in February 1987. Vidon Plastics started producing trim for hospital beds using the little used and reconditioned extruding machinery they had. Excellent customer satisfaction, the acquisition of further extrusion jobs, and a solid client base resulted from excellence in quality, delivery, and support. Vidon Plastics started working as an automobile supplier in the fall of 1987. Before the end of its first year, Vidon Plastics, which had just two employees, had $300,000 in revenue.

Growth happened quickly. Vidon Plastics relocated to the Enterprise Center of Lapeer, a nearby industrial incubator, in 1988. A year later, Vidon Plastics had 35 workers and $3,000,000 in sales. The little Enterprise Center of Lapeer was unable to continue.
