Joseph Johnson and his wife Mary founded Jomar in 1968, giving it its name. Joe oversaw the injection blow molding division at Wheaton Industries as a design engineer. After leaving Wheaton, Joe developed the device and founded a new business. He established a business that produced the first fully integrated, commercially successful injection blow molding machinery for the plastics industry.

Inductotherm Industries of Rancocas, New Jersey, a privately held business that has produced more than 50 percent of the world's induction furnaces, acquired Jomar in 1978.

We currently have a 42,000 square foot headquarters in Southern New Jersey, and we have sold over 2,000 machines globally.

Henry Beck, the founder of Tessy Plastics, was born in Germany, and at the age of 14, he began an apprenticeship as a toolmaker. Henry was keen to travel the world and accepted the assignment. After spending two years in Brazil, Henry moved to the United States and began working as a service engineer for the country's largest importer, installing and instructing at businesses for 20 years, including NASA.

Henry founded the Beck Machinery Inc. in 1968 in Skaneateles, New York, and supplied Swiss-made automatic screw machines to renowned business Welch Allyn. Welch Allyn urged Henry to launch an injection molding business based on their mutual confidence and trust.

The origin of the term "SignaMold" can be traced back to Mimi's parents, who founded Signicast in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. In the 1950s and the first half of the 1960s, Mimi's father worked as a mould maker and machinist. After her father's death, her mother took over the company, which she eventually sold in the mid-1960s.

Don has nearly 40 years of experience in this field. He got his start in this industry thanks to his father-in-law, a toolmaker who taught him the craft. Don may come to mind from Aus-Tech Mold.
